Former NFL Pro Bowler and ex-ESPN and Fox Sports personality Marcellus Wiley is facing sexual assault allegations from four women, including a former ESPN production assistant.
The women reportedly filed the lawsuit in New York in April, adding to previous allegations against Wiley tied to his time at Columbia University in 1994. The first lawsuit surfaced in 2023, with two more following in 2025.
The latest allegations against Wiley span several years and include a range of claims. Two women allege they were sexually assaulted by Wiley in California between 1995 and 1999. Another accuser claims Wiley began grooming her when she was 13 before a sexual encounter years later during his NFL career.
Amid news of the lawsuit and allegations, Wiley took to social media to attemot to shut down the claims.
“Three cases already dismissed,” he tweeted. “The falsely accused don’t fold—we fight. Especially when accusations are made louder than apologies ever will be.”
A former ESPN production assistant also alleges Wiley lured her to his hotel room under the guise of a work meeting before assaulting her. The woman who accused Wiley of grooming says their interactions began while he played for the Buffalo Bills in the late 1990s, starting after a visit to her middle school. She claims Wiley later gave her tickets, gifts, and invited her to his home in Orchard Park, New York.
The accuser claims Wiley often referenced his sociology degree from Columbia University, which she said made him appear trustworthy and respected. She also alleged he repeatedly gave her the same CDs to organize during visits to his home.
The woman said she eventually believed she would marry Wiley. She alleges he flew her to Dallas after she turned 18—while playing for the Dallas Cowboys—and later sexually assaulted her. In her statement, she claimed she had been groomed since age 13 and argued that earlier complaints against Wiley should have been taken more seriously.
A former ESPN staffer alleges Wiley invited her to his hotel room in 2009 under the pretense of a work-related meeting before allegedly assaulting her. According to Rolling Stone, she claims Wiley emerged from the bathroom naked after she entered the room and then physically restrained her.
The woman alleges Wiley forced her onto a bed despite her repeated pleas to stop. In her statement, she described the incident as deeply traumatic and said she continues to live with its impact years later.
Two additional accusers allege Marcellus Wiley raped them in California during the 1990s. According to the lawsuit, the women argue that Columbia University failed to properly address earlier allegations against Wiley, allowing him to maintain what they describe as a public image of trust and respectability that later put other women at risk.
Wiley, who is married to “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Annemarie Wiley, previously dismissed the first lawsuit as “BS” in 2023, while his attorneys formally denied all rape and sexual assault allegations in a 2024 court filing. Most recently, he took to a podcast to further deny the claims from the ex-ESPN staffer.
One accuser claims Wiley raped her at her mother’s apartment in Culver City, California, in the late 1990s, while another alleges he assaulted her at a hotel in 1999 during her senior year at University of Southern California. She says she reported the incident to the LAPD, though no charges were ultimately filed.
The latest allegations are part of an effort by one of the original accusers to expand the case into a class-action lawsuit against both Wiley and Columbia University, with a hearing scheduled for May 12.
