Roc Nation Distribution has unveiled a new dashboard designed to help independent artists expand their global reach, grow their fanbases, and access a suite of tools, services, and resources in one centralized hub.
On Nov. 17, Jay-Z’s Roc Nation launched a personalized dashboard for artists using Roc Nation Distribution, offering advanced streaming analytics, real-time audience and social media insights, distribution to 200+ platforms, streamlined royalty payments, publishing management, rights tracking, motion artwork uploads for releases, and more.
The dashboard comes with no upfront costs or subscription fees, letting artists distribute music worldwide, retain ownership of their masters, and keep 85% of their earnings. Designed to give artists more control, insights, and opportunities, Roc Nation Distribution’s new platform allows independent musicians to upload their own music or have representatives do so, tapping into its comprehensive distribution and analytics tools.
“The introduction of this new dashboard will be a game-changer for independent artists releasing music with Roc Nation Distribution,” Roc Nation Distribution President Krystian Santini said.
“It’s a one-stop shop that will enable artists to receive a holistic understanding of their followers, so they can build impactful strategies and broaden their music’s reach without financial barriers. This dashboard is democratizing access to tools and information historically reserved for the very few established label superstars. Our technology is uniquely ours and sets a new standard with no equivalent in today’s music industry.”
The new dashboard gives artists unparalleled, real-time insights into their streaming performance and social media presence. It aggregates data from Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, and more, enabling artists to:
- Explore Audience Demographics: See followers by age, location, income, ethnicity, and preferred streaming platforms.
- Track Mentions: Monitor how many people mention the artist, top hashtags, and most-used emojis related to their content.
- Evaluate Social Sentiment: Identify the most influential accounts discussing the artist and the top-performing posts mentioning them.
- Spot Influencer Alignment: Discover which influencers the artist’s followers engage with the most.
- Assess Brand Affinity: Analyze overlapping audiences with influential accounts and see which brands resonate with the artist’s audience.
The dashboard streamlines artist payments and revenue sharing, offering automatic deposits to bank or PayPal accounts and built-in royalty-splitting tools for collaborators. It also simplifies release management, letting artists store contributor info, save upload progress, and efficiently release EPs or albums on tight schedules, so they can focus on creating and engaging fans.
Developed with Brooklyn-based design studio Linked by Air, the platform combines strategy, UX, design, and software development to deliver a transformational tool for independent artists.
“The platform connects art and commerce,” said Michaelson. “Today’s musicians are technically skilled. We want to grow with you—from making the music only you can make, to seeing the revenue hit your bank account, and on to greater things. That’s why we tried to make a platform that feels more like the pads of a sampler than an accounting system.”
