Singer Tory Lanez has been the topic of discussion following reports he shot rapper Megan Thee Stallion last weekend.
On Thursday night (July 16), Page Six reported that the “Chixtape” crooner allegedly shot the “Savage” femcee last Sunday following a dispute between the two chart topping artists.
“Tory fired the shots from within the vehicle while Megan was outside trying to leave,” a source told Page Six. “There is video and the police are investigating. This is a case of a man physically harming and abusing a woman.”
On Wednesday, Megan released her own statement on Instagram and expressed a sense of gratitude after being shot in the foot and saying she learned a lesson on protecting her energy.
“On Sunday morning, I suffered gunshot wounds, as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me,” she wrote in the public note. “I was never arrested, the police officers drove me to the hospital where I underwent surgery to remove the bullets. I’m incredibly grateful to be alive and that I’m expected to make a full recovery, but it was important for me to clarify the details about this traumatic night.”
Megan’s producer, best friend and bodyguard have all rallied behind their friend and seemingly issued out warnings to Lanez that imply that he was the one responsible for the Houston rapper’s injuries.
“I hope y’all don’t believe he was defending her! This a bulls–t story,’ said Lil Ju Made The Beat in since-deleted tweets this week. “If you know me and you know her well enough, not only do you know I wasn’t physically present during Sunday mornings events, but you know why,” added her bodyguard in his Instagram story.
Lanez was released on Thursday morning after posting his $35,000 bail. He was arrested Sunday night in Los Angeles after cops found a gun in his car. This occurred just after Meg posted a video of her hanging out with Kylie Jenner and Tory at a party in the Hollywood Hills.
Tory has not been arrested for the shooting and is expected to claim that it was accidental, Billboard reports.
But, now that word got out that Megan was a possible victim of gun violence at the hands of Tory, Twitter has been having a field day roasting the Quarantine Radio creator. Take a look at some of the responses below.
