A Texas man has posted bond after he was arrested for licking ice cream in Walmart and putting it back on the shelf.
In a clout chasing move that plagued summer 2019, 24-year-old D’Adrien Anderson was captured on store surveillance licking the Blue Bell ice cream and placing it back onto the freezer shelf.
“Happy national soft ice cream day lmao #viral,” Anderson captioned the video that he posted to his Facebook page.
The since viral video got Anderson in some legal trouble after he was arrested and booked at the Jefferson County Correctional Facility Thursday, The Blaze reports. The Port Author resident was charged with class A criminal mischief and given a $1,000 bond.

“We take it very, very seriously. I know the district attorney takes it very seriously,” said Detective Mike Hebert with the Port Arthur Police Department.
“So hopefully in the next 24 hours,” he added, “we’ll have all our evidence gathered, and we’ll walk it over to the district attorney’s office.”
Walmart released a statement about the incident:
If food is tampered with, or a customer wants to leave the impression that they left behind adulterated product, we will move quickly with law enforcement to identify, apprehend and prosecute those who think this is a joke-it is not.
Not only was he arrested and charged with a misdemeanor, but the store claims Anderson was forced to purchase the ice cream he licked and says he’s lost his job over the video.
If convicted, Anderson faces up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine.
