Rapper Jaden Smith is throwing in the towel on his music career because according to him, ‘I am becoming a full-time inventor”.
The talented offspring of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith sat down for an interview with Complex where he explained his drastic career shift.
“I want the world to know that I am switching professions and that I am becoming a full-time inventor,” the philanthropist told Complex. “I’m going to spend all of my time inventing new technologies because I think I’m better at that than making music.”
But fans of the “Icon living” rapper won’t be disappointed, as the 21-year-old plans to also “invent” new music.
“I’m still going to make music because I invent new songs,” he assures us. “I invent new ways to make music, but I’m not a musician.”
Within the last year, Smith has expanded his brand to include innovative new fashion trends, a vegan food truck that he uses to feed the homeless, new music with a new sound and the expansion of his JUST Water brand that included a filtration system for the people of Flint, Michigan.
He recently released his album ERYS, which played an antagonistic alter ego to his 2017 release SYRE. But according to Jaden, he’s just getting started.
“I’m not going to stop until I’m like Elon Musk,” he declares.
We believe you Jaden.
