California Pacific Coast Highway

For one of the most scenic routes in the U.S., road trippers can drive down (or up) California’s longest highway along the beautiful Pacific coastline. The 653-mile drive goes from Dana Point in Orange County to Leggett in Mendocino County. Enjoy some fun in the sun at some noteworthy attractions including Malibu, San Simeon, San Luis Obispo, Big Sur, Monterey, the Golden Gate Bridge, and the Mendocino Headlands. If you fall in love with the views and want to extend your road trip, you can drive past the PCH into San Diego and drive to the Redwood Forest on Route 101 past Mendocino.
