“Love & Hip Hop” star Teairra Mari was arrested in NYC over the weekend for allegedly driving drunk inside a car that only had 3 wheels!
According to law enforcement, Mari was busted Saturday morning for driving drunk without a license in a car that was missing a wheel. The former Roc-A-Fella artist lost a wheel when her front passenger side tire dislodged from her maroon 2014 Dodge Charger around 3 a.m., sources said.
But despite losing a wheel, Mari proceeded to drive around with 3 wheels for an entire mile through the Queens-Midtown Tunnel. Witnesses told police the Charger was shooting out sparks and smoke as it ground the pavement through the tunnel.
Bridge and Tunnel Authority police began chasing the 31-year-old, but she allegedly continued through the tunnel, the sources said. Officers caught up to the troubled singer when she finally stopped the car on Borden Avenue near 5th Street in Long Island City.
After performing a breathalyzer test, Mari allegedly had a blood-alcohol concentration of 0.304 — more than three times the legal limit, police said. Cops also determined she was driving without a driver’s license and had violated a previous DWI arrest and was not driving with a court-ordered ignition interlock, which prevents the car from starting if the driver’s BAC is higher than a certain level, according to the law enforcement sources.
Sources also say during her arrest, Mari made sure police knew who she was and bragged about being a reality star. She was charged with DWI, violation of court-ordered ignition interlock, illegal tinted windows, illegal operation of a vehicle, unlicensed operator of a motor vehicle, among other things, cops said.
Her arrest comes after she sued 50 Cent and her ex Akbaknbr Abdul-Ahad for sharing “a sex tape and obscene photo” in May 2018. However, a judge dismissed her claims months later and ordered Mari to pay the rapper more than $30,000.
