Congo-born LA-based rapper Kajad is giving us a smooth summer hit to bust a wine to with “Mamas Lemonade”.
The new track continues to attract buzz and has already been well received on the UK’s biggest radio station, BBC 1xtra. Newly released visuals for the song are dripping in melanin magic while providing the perfect backdrop for a summer time vibe.
‘Mamas Lemonade’ was produced by Devan “D1” Hooker and is the second single off of Kajad’s EP ‘Zaire’. In the song, Kajad sings about being in a dreamy and euphoric state of mind about a love interest.
Kajad continues to drop new music after moving to Los Angeles two years ago. While born in Congo, Kajad came to America when he was just 7, speaking no English at the time. His parents moved him and his 4 brothers to North Philadelphia where he was raised. While in Philly, Kajad taught himself English through listening to Hip Hop greats such as A Tribe Called Quest and Nas. He is now based in LA focusing on his music career.
