Music superstars Sza, The Weeknd and Travis Scott put their musical geniuses together for a new track on Game of Thrones official soundtrack.
“Power is Power” is the first single released from the soundtrack made for the hit series eighth and final season.
The Toronto Grammy winner co-produced the track along with Ricky Reed, and Jason “DaHeala” Quenneville. He opens the song with his signature melodic sound singing lyrics that ever GOT can relate to.
“I was born of the ice and snow,” he sings. “With the winter wolves, in the dark, alone / The wildest night, I became the one / And you’ll know you’re mine when the silence calls.”
Meanwhile, SZA’ sultry voice dominates the hook with lyrics that perfectly describe how every character in the show might feel.
“How do I ever know? Who can I trust?” she asks. “Feelings of emptiness / Only love could kill me, God bless.”
While Travis Scott swags it out with his verse that speaks for much of the subject matter the final season is set to bring.
“I wore a flag, put that on my face, ain’t nobody safe,” he rhymes. “Lift the mask, they gon’ have to see what they can’t erase…Danger’s on my mind.”
Season 8’s full soundtrack will be released next week with songs from A$AP Rocky, Joey Bada$$, Lil Peep, Ty Dolla $ign, Chloe x Halle, and more.
