It looks like singer Sza was not feeling Drake’s reference you her on his latest verse.
21 Savage released his highly anticipated album Savage Mode 2 on Friday to much fan fare. On the new album, he dropped a Metro Boomin-produced track called “Mr. Right Now” that featured Drake. During his verse, Drizzy drops some tea about his dating history with Grammy-nominated artist Sza.
“Yeah, said she wanna f**k to some SZA, wait
‘Cause I used to date SZA back in ’08
If you cool with it, baby, she can still play
While I jump inside that box and have a field day”
Once the album was released, fans took to social media to discuss the hot topic. Some noted the age difference at the time they allegedly dated with Sza being 17 at the time while Drake was 21. However, Sza seemingly responded by posting a video to her Instagram Story asking fans if “you in my business?” A comical reference from TikTok sensation, Crazy Deejay.
In addition, fans noticed that Sza hit Drake with the unfollow button shortly after blogs started sharing the new track.
The move appears to be a direct response to Drake confirming their romantic history together. It’s also worth noting that Champagne Papi is still following Sza despite her unfollowing him.
