Weeks after they stripped her sister Kylie Jenner of the title, Forbes is doing the same to Kim Kardashian. The financial magazine claims Kim Kardashian West is not exactly worthy of the billionaire title because she’s only reportedly worth $900 million.
The 39-year-old reality TV star was praised by her husband Kanye West earlier this week after she signed a lucrative deal with cosmetics giant Coty to buy out her KKW Beauty brand. West took to Twitter to hail his wife as the family’s new “billionaire” in a bizarre post online, writing:
“I am so proud of my beautiful wife Kim Kardashian West for officially becoming a billionaire. You’ve weathered the craziest storms and now God is shining on you and our family. So blessed this is still life. So I made you this still life. We love you so much.”
But, Forbes continues their debunking of the Kardashian/Jenner clan after they reported that Kim
“isn’t estimated to be part of the six comma club yet. Forbes estimates Kardashian West remains just shy of billionaire status, worth $900 million.”
The magazine explained Kim’s new deal is set to be finalised in early 2021, which leaves the mother of four as the majority owner of KKW Beauty with a 72 per cent stake, while her mother Kris Jenner owns eight per cent. Forbes concludes Kim will be “worth $900 million following the deal’s close” according to their estimates.
Forbes reported findings comes just a few weeks after they did the same exposing to Kim’s youngest sister Kylie. The magazine had previously hailed Kylie as the world’s youngest self-made billionaire. But shut that down shortly after they alleged Kylie’s team tricked the magazine by using fake draft tax returns that boosted her net worth.
Kylie’s lawyers were quick to deny the claims, stating:
“We have reviewed Forbes’ article accusing Kylie of engaging in deceit and a ‘web of lies’ to inflate her net worth. The article is filled with outright lie.
“Forbes’ accusation that Kylie and her accountants ‘forged tax returns’ is unequivocally false and we are demanding that Forbes immediately and publicly retract that and other statements.”
It looks like Forbes has their eye on the Kardashian/Jenner clan while they work hard to reach and prove their billionaire status.
