Actor Djimon Hounsou appears ready to battle his ex Kimora Lee Simmons for joint custody and child support for their 10-year-old son.
The “Blood Diamond” star dropped hints of an approaching custody war back in June when he complained to a TMZ photog about not getting to spend time with his son Kenzo on Father’s Day. Now, two months later, Kimora got hit with legal docs after Hounsou asked a judge for joint custody and child support.
But the fashion mogul says she fears to let Hounsou see Kenzo after he threatened to move their 10-year-old to Africa. Earlier this year, the “Guardians of the Galaxy” star insinuated that the Baby Phat mogul was regularly keeping the child away from him. But Kimora claimed Hounsou was an absent father who rarely wanted to spend time with his son.

Kimora’s sources tell TMZ that Djimon has threatened to take Kenzo to Africa and never bring him back. Her ex-husband Russell Simmons claims he met up with Djimon a few days ago and told him he could visit his son if he would sign a document promising not to take Kenzo to Africa. However, Djimon reportedly refused to sign.
Kimora was served with Djimon’s joint custody petition on Friday. Russell Simmons claims Djimon is also asking for child support in addition to the joint custody despite not paying Kimora any support, TMZ reports.
