Despite his love for dresses and nail polish, rapper Young Thug doesn’t think Lil Nas X should have come out as gay.
The streets have been talking since the “Old Town Road” singer came out of the closet on the last day of Pride Month. While many have praised Lil Nas X for speaking his truth, Thugger thinks the young Billboard chart-topper shouldn’t have come out at all due to judgment from the public.
In a new interview with No Jumper, Thugger shared his thoughts on Lil Nas X coming out as gay.
“I feel like he probably shouldn’t have told the world, because these days—motherf***ers is just all judgement,” he said. “It ain’t even about the music no more, Soon as the song comes on everybody’s like ‘this gay ass n***a’”.
X recently shared whether he expected any negative reactions to the news during an interview with BBC.
“Oh, I’m already getting it,” he said. Evidently, it has not fazed him. “I used to be that person being negative,” he said. “I’m not angry or anything [about it], because I understand how they just want that reaction.”
He admitted he had considered never coming out, but had a change of heart.
“I don’t want to just live my entire life, especially how I got to where I’m at, just not doing what I want to do,” he said. “I’m also, I feel like, opening the doors for more people.”
Meanwhile, Young Thug also shared his belief that he would be a better president than Kanye West.
“F**k yeah. Because he can’t, he can’t out think me,” he said. “He can out troll me but he can’t out think me. I’m a thinker. He’s the type of… Kanye will do something and make a mistake and then be like, f**k. I’m the type to be like hold on, man. I’m totally different.”
