Kandi Burruss husband Todd Tucker is defending his choice to take his daughter with him to the strip club.
The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star responded to backlash he received online after he posted a video where he took his 23-year-old daughter, Kaela Tucker, to a strip club in London.
“@kpt__ watch out for the bootie! Lol!” the 45-year-old father of two captioned the video that shows Kaela sipping on a drink while a stripper dances behind her.
But some of Tucker’s followers weren’t feeling the daddy-daughter date.
“What in the daddy day care?” one person commented. Another wrote, “This is what you bring your daughter to?? Not cool at all. Yuck.”
But Todd spoke with TMZ and defended his actions saying that he and his daughter had gone to the strip club together before.
“Me and my daughter been to the strip club before — we’ve been to Magic City, ain’t no big deal,” he said. “Me and my mom even went to the strip club before. It’s in our genes.”
Todd added that going to the strip club is a good way to spend time with your adult kids.
“They’re going to go anyway, so why not experience it and have fun with your kids,” he added. “That’s what we need to do — we need to spend more time with our kids, even if it’s at the strip club.”
Todd said taking Kaela to a strip club shows her “dad is cool,” so she’s “able to have those good conversations with me.”
“It’s not a big deal. They’re going to find out from their friends anyway.”
Meanwhile, Kandi hasn’t publicly commented on the video.
