Despite boasting a hefty 14 million followers, pop icon Madonna personally believes that Instagram is designed to “make you feel bad”.
The 60-year-old “Material Girl” speaking with The Sun following the release of her latest album”Madame X” when she was asked to share her thoughts on the popular social media platform. The superstar and mother of six complained that the platform makes people “a slave to winning other’s approvals.”

“You get caught up in comparing yourself to other people,” the “Ray of Light” singer told the UK paper. “Should I be like that, act like that, look like that? Will that make me more popular, or more successful?”
“I was lucky enough to have a life as an artist before the phone and Instagram and social media because I did have that time to develop as an artist and a human without feeling the pressure of judgment of other people or comparing myself to other people.” she added.
Raising her 22-year-old daughter Lourdes, she shared how much she has to tell her to love who she is.
The social media culture “runs people’s lives” and, as a result, it’s now harder for stars to “stick to your guns and be who you are”.
