While everyone anxiously awaits for gossip queen Wendy Williams to finally spill the tea surrounding her divorce from longtime husband Kevin Hunter, Gayle King could care less!
According to Daily Mail, the day-time talk show host was snubbed by Oprah’s BFF over her personal drama that King considers to be “a little too trashy for morning TV.” This comes amid Wendy’s messy divorce from her husband of twenty-two years, her teenage son’s recent arrest following a physical fight with his father, and Wendy’s longtime battle with addiction.

Williams has been reaching out to major TV networks, including Oprah’s OWN, ABC and NBC, for a prime-time slot in hopes of sharing her story. But it looks like Gayle is not interested. News of this comes after King’s explosive interview with disgraced singer R. Kelly in March.

But it’s said that Williams demand to capitalize on her marital woes with an hour-long prime-time slot is turning off some big name hosts. One network source told Daily Mail,
“Her people want either a morning show or an hour-long prime-time special, they want Wendy to sit down with a big name anchor and Gayle King was at the top of the list. But she turned it down, it’s not clear exactly why but there’s a lot of talk that Gayle thought sitting down with Wendy, dredging over her car crash personal life, might be a little too trashy for morning television.”
The source added:
“GMA anchor Robin Roberts over at ABC seems the most keen, she reached out to Wendy in March when she announced she was staying in a sober house. But nothing has been locked down yet, Wendy is keen to explore all her options, who knows which way it will go.”
