Actor Djimon Hounsou didn’t have a happy Father’s Day on Sunday and he says it’s because he hasn’t seen his son with Kimora Lee Simmons in quite some time.
The “Blood Diamond” star was visiting an L.A. County building Monday when a TMZ photog stopped him to ask him how his Father’s Day was. Hounsou didn’t hold back with letting the reporter know his Father’s Day wasn’t good because he wasn’t able to see or speak to his son Kenzo.
The camera guy then asked how long it’s been since he’s seen his son, to which he responded by holding up a five. He wasn’t specific on if it meant five days, weeks, months, or even years. He then said that he can’t even recall the last time he spent time with his son.
This shocking revelation comes after the fashion mogul took to Instagram on Father’s Day to share loving tributes to her other two baby daddies, Russell Simmons and her husband, Tim Leissner. However, there was no social media shoutout for her ex Hounsou.
While Hounsou didn’t throw any shade towards Lee, he did laugh a little when the photog asked him if he wanted to say anything to his ex. He appeared like he was ready to say something but instead opted to take the high road instead. The actor did post a photo of him and Kenzo together on Sunday. But it appears that it might have been an old photograph he posted in honor of the holiday.
While he was walking back to his car, someone on the street asked him about fighting for custody, to which he replied he has no interest in battling it out with his ex over custody. The rocky waters come after the two dated for 5 years between 2007 and 2012 and welcomed Kenzo in 2009.
Meanwhile, Kimora is busy managing the relaunch of her Baby Phat brand with a collection with Forever 21. She recently unveiled the brand’s new ad on Instagram that stars her two daughters Ming Lee and Aoki Lee.
