Rap mogul T.I. was in Washington D.C. last week in efforts to continue the community work that was being performed by the late rapper Nipsey Hussle.
The Grammy-award-winning rapper was on Capitol Hill where he attended a meeting with members of the Congressional Black Caucus to jumpstart incentive investments in low-income communities. Nipsey was scheduled to attend the meeting prior to his death in March.
T.I. spoke with TMZ about how Nipsey invited him to the meeting and explained that he was there on the late rapper’s behalf. When confronted with the reality that he might have to work with President Trump, T.I. told reporters that it’s not about Democrats or Republicans … it’s about people.
