The Television Critics Association recently held their Winter Press Tour in Los Angeles where TV One presented its premiere 2019 programming and its recently launched digital network, CLEO TV and unveiled the NAACP nominations.
Nominees for NAACP Image Awards 50th Anniversary show were announced by the President of the NAACP, Derrick Johnson, Logan Browning (Dear White People) and Winston Duke (Black Panther). Netflix led the nominations in the Television categories with 22 nominations and had 4 film nominations followed by HBO and ABC with 20 and 18 respectively.

The NAACP Image Awards will air on TV One live from the Dolby Theater in Hollywood Saturday, March 30 at 9 p.m. ET/8 CT.
Actor and syndicated radio personality D.L. Hughley also introduced his new primetime talk show, THE D.L. HUGHLEY SHOW, that is set to premiere in March. The new show reportedly will feature stories relevant to a rapidly evolving African American community.

Additionally, the session also highlighted the edgy autobiographical hit series UNCENSORED, premiering Monday, March 4 at 10 p.m. ET, and presenting first person accounts of today’s most notable personalities, including Tasha Smith. TV One also unveiled a new slate of original movies set to debut later this year, including THE BOBBY DEBARGE STORY and LOVED TO DEATH.
Recently launched lifestyle and entertainment network targeting millennial and Gen X women of color, CLEO TV, introduced three new unscripted series including a cooking show titled NEW SOUL KITCHEN with Chef Jernard Wells and Chef Porsche Thomas. The network’s lifestyle series include LIVING BY DESIGN WITH JAKE AND JAZZ, a home redesign show with a culinary twist featuring sibling duo Jake and Jazz Smollett, and LENS OF CULTURE which is a short-form series hosted by world-travelers and influencers Tai Beauchamp and Elton Anderson.
