Pop icon Madonna is showing her Malawi-born daughter the importance of self love . Madge uploaded a recent video that showed her daughter telling her that she looks “prettier because I’m brown”.
Madonna was playing with Snapchat filters with her adopted twin girls, Estere and Stella, when one of her daughters told the Grammy award-winner,
“I look prettier because I’m brown.”
To which Madonna, 60, replied,
“Oh, OK! Well, I look pretty cute, too.”
The seven-time Grammy winner proudly shows off her children on Instagram. She adopted four children from Africa including the twins she adopted in February 2017. In October 2006 and May 2009, Madonna adopted David Banda and Mercy James. The 60-year-old singer also has biological children, Rocco Ritchie
Some on social media praised the pop queen for teaching her black daughter the importance of loving the skin she’s in.
“Madonna’s daughter saying ‘I’m prettier because I’m brown’ is very reflective of what she’s being taught,” one user wrote. “So kudos to Madonna in that respect but it was still funny
af and a drag.”
