Hip hop mogul Jay Z is not here for the ICE’s recent arrest attempted deportation of Atlanta rapper 21 Savage and he’s putting his money where his mouth is!
According to TMZ, the Grammy award-winning rapper called the arrest and detention of the “Bank Account” rapper “an absolute travesty”. Hova also points out that Savage’s U Visa application has been pending for years.
“In addition to being a successful recording artist, 21 deserves to be reunited with his children immediately.” Jay Z said.

Despite Savage not being a Roc Nation artist, Jay-Z’s company has responded to his detention and arrest as a “matter of injustice” and hired attorney Alex Spiro to assist with his case.
“We are not going to stop until he is released, bonded out or in front of a judge … What we have here is someone who overstayed their Visa with an application pending for 4 years – not a convicted criminal that needs to be detained and removed but, by all accounts a wonderful person, father, and entertainer who has a marijuana offense which was vacated and sealed.” Spiro told TMZ.
New reports say 21 actually had a visa permit pending for 4 years before he reapplied for his U Visa in 2017. Some believe the mandatory background check following his application is what led to the arrest. However, Savage believes he was arrested as revenge for his new music that criticized the behavior of immigration officials.
