Following his death 12 years ago, family, friends, and the doctor of the late great James Brown believe the King of Soul might have been murdered!
A new detailed three-part investigation by CNN suggests evidence that there may have been foul play involved in the death of James Brown and his third wife, Adrienne.
Brown died on Christmas Day 2006 from a heart attack and fluid in his lungs. However, there an autopsy was never performed on the singer’s body. The doctor who treated Brown before his death told CNN he
“doubted Brown had died of natural causes. He suspected that Brown died of an overdose, accidental or otherwise.”
There are also 13 other people, including Brown’s late daughter LaRhonda Pettit, who feel details surrounding his death should be investigated or an autopsy should be performed. The first part of CNN’s three-part investigation details Brown’s legacy of alleged assaults or threats over the course of his career. Part two covers the death of his third wife Adrienne in 1996. Even though her death was ruled an overdose, CNN reveals evidence that Adrienne was fearing for her life in the months leading up to her death. A police informant also claims that the singer’s wife was murdered by a doctor who made her death look like an accident.
The final part of the investigation presents a list of 15 different questions including why no autopsy was performed on Brown’s body. Each question leads to the need for further investigation into Brown’s death.
