Tennis champion Serena Williams is taking her girl power to the fashion industry with the release of her new wrap dress that fits every body size.
Serena designed the size-inclusive dress as part of the latest collection from her clothing line. The mother and wife took to Instagram to share a video of herself and various women wearing the classic dress while noting that “I designed the Twist Front Dress for everybody and every BODY.”
“No one in the world looks exactly the same,” Williams states in the clip. “We all are different people, we have different personalities, we have different traits. We all look different and we’ve got to bring our personalities out.”
In the video, one woman says,
“I’m curvy, but feel confident in my curves. I feel spicy like a jalapeño.”
Williams spoke about the inspiration behind her collection.
“This collection is inspired by femininity and strength,” Williams told PEOPLE last May of her new collection. “It’s bringing those two together. Who said you can’t be both?”
She added that having her own fashion line is something she’s “always wanted to do”, and explained why she waited until now to create one.
“I finally took that leap and I have invested in myself and I did it. I always tell my friends, you have to invest in yourself, and I have to take my own advice. I did that, I was like this is what I want to do and we’re going to be successful at it because I believe in me and what we do. If we do it right, it’s going to be good.”
The $120 Twist Front Dress comes in red and black but is almost sold out in red so Serena might want to restock it for fall.
